Hi, my name is
Myesha, and I am the first born of the twins. I was
also the biggest of the two. I was born on February
14, 1996.This is my Mom's
journal entry about the pregnancy
and our birth.
Well
it is Mommy's turn to say something. I can say it
best in a journal page I wrote about her:

Dear
Journal,
My oldest child, by two minutes, Myesha Shacone
Landon, is quite a spirited girl. The first time I
saw her I instantaneously fell in love with her.
Beautiful full cheeks and bright red skin really
brought her features of her face out. Myesha was a
beauty. She looked so happy and sad at the same time.
I suppose she was remembering the home she just left
and the journey she just begun. It was wonderful to
look into her eyes. They appeared to reveal the
things she was recalling.
Nursing her for my first time brought me immense
happiness. What a tiny human being, so frail and
delicate. The wait and the arduous pregnancy had been
worth it. I didn't think such unconditional love
could be conceivable. We brought her home from the
hospital nine days after her birth.
Myesha was well-behaved baby, amicable, and quiet.
Things changed as she grew older. For being such a
tiny baby she did a good job of keeping up with
toddlers her age. Myesha loved to be in the spotlight.
She also wanted to keep up to her double cousin,
Zachary. So she always had her competitor. Myesha was
walking one day after her first birthday, February 15,
1997.
Sure, Myesha knew how to tease and make you laugh. I
believe she hit her terrible twos at an early age.
She loved to torment her twin sister, Celeste. In
other words, she was a bully. There were times that
she could be so loveable and kind to her sister too.
I feel that a lot of this was due to the competition
she felt she had with her sister. Many a time, I
found Myesha writing on the walls and anything she
could find. If she wanted something she tried to get
it anyway she could. She really liked Mommy and Daddy
to read her bedtime stories. She loved it so much
that many times we had to convince her that Mommy and
Daddy had read to her enough for the night so she
could go to bed. We do like reading to her too.
Myesha was a really good sister to her younger
sister, Mary. Often we found her talking and playing
with her. Myesha has a will of her own. She fought
any order Mommy or Daddy would give her, even her
live-in Grandma at times. She consistently had to
have the same thing as her sister, Celeste. Not all
was bad. Matter of fact most is good. She would give
Celeste plenty of kisses and hugs too. We really do
love her. She is going to be a fighter and I'm sure
she will succeed in life.

Myesha is such a
little sweetheart. Much of the time anyway. Well she
is getting a little more mature about staying out of
things but now we are having trouble with "No
you can't do that." She tries to see how much
she can get away with. What a cutie though, she just
melts your heart. She sure has been pretty good with
Mommy lately. Knowing Mommy doesn't always feel on
top of things.

She did the ultimate
today. She pulled out her twin sister's feeding tube.
It is a good thing I love her. Of course Mother's
understand what I am talking about. Wouldn't trade
her for the world. I am laughing about it now. So it
musn't have been that tragic :0)!!! It is okay. Docs
say Celeste will be fine...LOL. Poor girl though she
will have to go through another minor surgery to have
it put back in. One good thing now we will be able to
have a button inserted. A much smaller and easier
tube to work with. Not much chance of them pulling
that one out, since there will be hardly anything for
them to pull on.
Myesha is a ray of
sunshine. She is doing really well with her health.
It is nice to have such a fresh ray of sunshine. She
now is three years old and sure shows it. Myesha
weighs approximately 28 pounds. Yes still small for
her age but for being born at 4 lb. 8 oz. I think
that is great. Also girls tend to be small at first
on our side of the family. Boys tend to be big. I
haven't experienced the boy thing yet. Myesha is
doing well with her speech. She certainly knows how
to get around.
Myesha's favorite
shows are Pooh, Teletubbies (unfortanely for her Mom
who can hardly stand those four little critters), The
Comfy Couch, Sesame Street (ELMO"S WORLD), and
of course Barney. Now I will tell you one thing that
many parents wouldn't say. I like Barney. Why? Well
it gives me a break. Although recently I have removed
the television from our house. Too much bad influence
in that little box. They go out to grandma's
occassionally and watch good Disney movies or one of
their new found favorites Veggie Tales.
Myesha also loves to
play on the computer and she has learned so much for
a four year old from them. It has opened a new world
for her. A good start in homeschooling. Myesha hates
going to bed but what little kid doesn't. Her
favorite foods seem to be pizza, tacos, oranges,
apples, chicken and cheese sandwhiches. She doesn't
seem to care for hamburger much but neither does her
sisters Celeste and Mary. I think it is a toddler
phase. Oh gosh what else should I say. Myesha adores
the sixteen puppies our two female dogs had. Still
have nine to get rid of. She was broken hearted at
first but is finally accepting it. I love her very
much and hope that she does well in life. I now laugh
about many of the things she has done. Like taking
eggs out of the fridge and breaking them over her
sisters head. Myesha we love you!!!

I
haven't updated Myesha's Page for some time now. But
she is doing fairly well. She has Lyme Disease but
the treatment she got seems to of helped a great deal
which is exceptional news since three of us are still
having a hard time.
Since being on antibiotics she is taking off with her
reading. Before she
could hardly remember the sounds even after repeating
them about thirty
times. Now I can't stop her excitment of reading. But
that is great.
She is also my bossy child but she is also a great
help. I am so thankful
for that she makes my life a little easier. She does
really well with
the vaccuum. But we still don't know if we have
completely eradicated
her Lyme disease. Every once and a while she
complains of some pain but so much less than she use
too.
She is growing up to be a beautiful little girl and
the time is going so
fast. On February, 14th she will be seven years old.
I wish she would stay
young but I know that will not happen. Her favorite
movie right now
is "Spirit" she just can't get enough of it.
She also likes Lilo and Stitch.
And of course she loves Ice Age she picked this
herself. Mary had already beaten Myesha to the Spirit
set I have made. Myesha seems to love Pennsylvania
and the wonderful people here. She especially likes
to visit Hershey's Chocolates, who wouldn't. Keep
coming back I will update this as much as I can. Have
yourself a great day!!
