He came more than just a dogmore than just a friend
he was a human in tiny body
a gift from heaven sent.
I know in shell he was a dog
he barked like one too
but his heart was of human bred
and bigger than most too
Now in trust I lay him down
to Christ my best friend
who in His lap Dusty smiles
and Jesus hand he rests
A short time he was with us
but now our son he plays with
the son we know will be ours
a spirit in future come.
